Popcorn September – The Movie Guide
THE BEST MOVIES TO SEE IN SEPTEMBER, 2016
So fall is coming, but let’s not be sad, because as the weather turns bad, we have all the more reasons to go see a great movie in the cinema. 🙂 This section should help you choose the perfect movie for a rainy afternoon. I will present a couple of movies coming out this month in the Hungarian cinemas.
1.Sept/8: Florence Foster Jenkins
Ladies and Gentleman, the one and only Meryl Streep!
The new movie of Meryl Streep lands on the 8th of September in the Hungarian cinemas. Is she going to receive a historical 17th Oscar nomination or 4th Oscar win for her role as Florence Foster Jenkins? Based on the trailer, the movie seems to be an entertaining one, full of music and fun, as it tells the story of an amateur soprano with very poor singing ability.
Pilot Chesley Sullenberger, Sully (Tom Hanks), became a hero after gliding his plane along the Hudson River and saving all the people on board. Clint Eastwood’s (who recently turned 86 years old!) new movie tells us the whole story of the Miracle on the Hudson withthe investigation included, which followed the marvelous event.
3. Sept/15: Bridget Jones’s Baby
Who wouldn’t know our favorite blond, bold Bridget Jones and her diary?
And of course don’t forget the dashing Mark Darcy! His new opponent is a sexy doctor from Grey’s Anatomy, Patrick Dempsey himself! But back to the movie: 12 years after the last time we saw BJ on the big screen, we now follow her on her newest adventure: becoming a mother. The only question left is the persona of the father. This is what the movie depicts, based on the book of Helen Fielding.
4. Sept/22 Casablanca
If you haven’t seen this classic yet, than I think this is the beginning of a beautiful friendship! 😉 And those of you who have, who wouldn’t want to watch it again (and again!) on the big screen? The love story of the beautiful Ingrid Berman and the fantastic Humphrey Bogart from the year 1941 is an all-time classic tale during one of the worst times of human history.
Go check them all out, we will! And don’t forget the popcorn! 🙂
